MOBILE PATROL
Additional peace-of-mind while you sleep!!
Mobile Patrol is a cost effective means of adding Security to your site or business, while not compromising quality of service or additional financial burden to yourself or business. We provide security services where Static Security Guards may not be necessary or practical.
Nightly; our Security Personnel take to the streets in our marked Patrol Vehicles, of Portage la Prairie and monitor over seventeen (17) sites. This includes; walk throughs of properties, walk throughs of apartment complexes, physical checks of exterior and interior doors and so much more. Each sites patrols are molded to fit the clients needs for security and changes as per the physical layout of the property.
We cover a wide variety of sites including:
- Constructions sites
- Retail and Commercial Businesses
- Government Facilities
- Apartment Complexes
- Medical Centre's
- Vehicle Dealerships
- Private Dwellings
Nightly reports (which are provided to each of our clients on a regular basis) include: each time Security is on site, Security Personnel's names, discoveries while they are on the property which include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance Issues
- Unlocked doors
- Unsecured Windows
- Exterior Vandalism
- Loiterers or vagrancies on or around the property or any suspicious activity
- Vehicles (fleet, staff, visitors, unknown)
Our routes are unpredictable and change every night, this way persons that are potentially watching your site are unable to predict when we will be on site or returning to your site.

Our Technology
Effective October 11, 2023 our Mobile Patrol program began utilizing the Security Software; Track TIK. This software allowed for better accountability of our patrols and live reporting that clients are able to access on a daily basis. Utilizing checkpoints and GPS tracking our clients receive accurate and precise reporting on their sites and assets.

Sirius Protection's Alarm Response team, comprised of staff that undergo additional and lengthy background checks so you know the staff entering your property are reliable and trustworthy. Utilizing the team at backcheck.com, staff undergo financial, immigration and extensive criminal checks to ensure they are dependable to get the tasks required when entrusted with alarm codes and keys to businesses or homes.
Keys and codes are locked and secured behind 3 sets of locked doors or cabinets that only certain staff are privy to. Neither code or keys are kept in the same locked area, so that even if they were stolen, they are useless without each other.

Reliable and Dependable Staff
Our Security Personnel respond to Alarms when dispatching Monitoring stations contact Sirius's After-Hours Emergency Line. This line is monitored 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.; within minutes Security Personnel are able to begin the responding process and arrive on your site within minutes of a call.
Once on site, Security Personnel can quickly determine if additional resources are needed, or it was a false alarm. None the less, our staff remain on scene until alarm systems are fully back in service and your property is once again safe and secure.

Training and Suitability
Sirius Protection’s employees all must pass an interview and background check, if they have the mandatory qualifications and their resume is suitable. Each employee is selected based on his or her qualifications and experience for the job site or contract that they are applying for. Some employees are chosen to be crossed trained (based on desire and ability) to ease coverage on multiple sites.
Sirius Protection currently has experienced employees who may be suitable for the positions. All employees must have:
1. A valid Manitoba Security Guard License
2. Clear criminal record check
3. Clear child abuse registry check
4. Must be bondable
5. Possess an unrestricted Class 5 (at minimum) Manitoba Driver’s license, with safe driving record
6. (By-Law Specific) Must have law enforcement experience or education that is equivalent from a recognized training facility
Our employees are expected to work with the following attributes:
1. Superior Interpersonal skills
2. Demonstrated problem solving skills
3. Respect towards an individual or organizations beliefs and privacy
4. Maintain an unbiased working attitude
5. Work well in a team environment, but still possess the integrity to work alone
There is a high level of trust that is required of our employees as well the management team; as they are entrusted with alarm codes, building keys and sensitive information pertinent to a client or contract. Due to this all our employees are held to a “Code of Conduct Policy” (available for all clients viewing needs) and a progressive “Disciplinary Policy”.
Other training or Attributes that our Security or By-Law Personnel may require to possess, but are not limited to:
1. Standard First Aid, Level C-CPR, AED
2. By-Law Officer or Special Constable Training
3. Experience in Law Enforcement or Military
With the introduction of sensitive information and a higher level of trust, Sirius Management is putting their reputation on the line with entrusting their staff’s integrity. Sirius Management will utilize Sterling Talent Solutions to conduct background checks on all employees who have access to your company’s sensitive information (for example alarm codes). These “back checks” consist of additional criminal record checks, financial background, employment background, immigration and emigration status’s. These checks will be conducted at Southport’s request or desire but paid for by the Team at Sirius Protection. Their services are available for searching at: www.backcheck.net
Although, criminal records and child abuse registry checks are conducted as a part of the Licensing process and are done every three years, additional checks into a person’s background add a sense of security to a client and their employee base.

If you're away for a short or extended period and would like someone to occasionally check on your property, our guards are available to you. Checking the perimeter, interior, furnace and hot water tank status's, water seepage and so much more. We provide detailed reports so you can vacation with a peace of mind and report back to your insurance company that your policy was maintained.
Personal Protective Services
A modern era service provided to compliment the old aged "body guard". If your client or yourself require a little extra close presence our staff can make it as obvious (in uniform) or as inconspicuous as possible (matching your attire). Our staff have been trained in close proximity protection and go above and beyond to ensure your safety.
No matter the circumstances or situation our experienced personnel can handle anything that comes their way. Your family, loved ones, clients or friends will be in good care with our staff.

Crowd Control
Whether it is an organized carnival, concert, strike or peaceful protest our staff are trained to manage large crowds and ensure the public is kept safe as well our clients interests (property or image) is maintained. Our staff operate in a non-bias manor to ensure all parties involved are respected and un-scrutinized.
Loss Prevention
If theft is an issue, our trained Security can patrol the interiors of your commercial store fronts to deter and prevent shoppers from becoming thieves. Physical presence is the first step in deterring shoplifting, supported by security cameras, design and layout of your store.
